Camp Cooking

This is from a little while ago. I went up north to some ‘secret’ surf spot with the fellas from DGZ magazine and Mr Longwhite cloud Damon Meade. We were lucky enough to score some pretty sick waves on the last day. I was the designated chef, I only cook when under the influence of a strong Coffee, thus the idiotic behaviour. Final Edit Innersection

This is the final edit that Damon submitted for the Innersection film in late 2010. It didn’t quite come out the same on the finished DVD, the song was different, waves had been cut and so had the ‘bush lounge’ scene, but oh well, these things happen. It was a fun project to work on, although a lot of the time I put added pressure on myself which I didn’t need, I learnt a lot and in hindsight would’ve done some things differently. Was a great experience, check out the ‘real’ finished product.

Luke-Volcom Jeans

I like wearing jeans. I received my first pair of jeans in 2000 when I first got sponsored by Volcom, since then I have worn jeans a lot. I don’t like baggy jeans, they make me look scruffy and possibly gang affiliated. I don’t like tight jeans, I have big legs and they look silly on me and they also crush my balls. I like the straight leg jeans, they are comfortable and look pretty good…I’m kinda sounding like goldilocks and the three muskateers I guess, ya know, with the 3 bowls of hot soup? yeah, that’s the one. Here’s a clip the lads at Volcom put up of me surfing to promote jeans…I’m surfing in a wetsuit though, not jeans.

Southbound & Down

I recently went on an expedition to the far South of New Zealand in search of the elusive Moa bird, which is thought to have been extinct. I figured if I caught one on camera then I could sell the footage to Nat Geo or Discovery and be rich and famous and all that Jazz. Somewhere along the way I got side-tracked and just ended up going surfing, it was way more fun than searching for extinct wildlife. At one point I thought I saw a Moa peek its head out through the trees, turned out to be a power pole.
